The Odenwald Association and Falkirk District Twinning Association have combined resources to form Falkirk Twinning in order to promote the concept of twinning in the Falkirk area.
The first project of Falkirk Twinning has been the creation of this website. We hope that you find it interesting and would be very happy to receive any enquiries from you about twinning or comments about the site itself. [Contact us] [Guestbook]
Both associations share the same objectives–
- to cultivate greater understanding of our twin communities
- to act as a catalyst in arranging exchanges and visits
- to include as diverse a range of activities as possible
- to ensure that special needs groups are represented
- to help financially, if feasible
- to provide help to Falkirk Council in dealing with European matters
- to stimulate interest in twinning by all means
- to aid communication between interested parties in all areas of activity within the communities
The associations will continue to act separately as far as their respective twinning areas are concerned.
The Odenwald Association meets on the second Tuesday of September, October, November, February, March and April each year.
Falkirk District Twinning Association meets bi-monthly starting in February each year.
